If North America is behind Germany in the queue, I'm complaining to Linn! :)

What‘s the official sales start in North America?

Also October 30. I was told November ship. The delay is shipping of parts, so I imagine Linn are building and shipping as they get the parts.

Short question to make things clearer for me.

Does the upgrade-kit includes an new PSU?

Yes. It includes a newly redesigned board. However, the Dynamik power supply remains.

So it is possible to upgrade my Akurate Tuner with the former Dynamik-PSU from my Radikal.

I think you will need the Dynamik for your Radikal. I think we have a misunderstanding. Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant by PSU. The Kit includes a newly redesigned board, but not a new Dynamik-PSU.

When the Radikal 2 upgrade kits are installed by the specialist dealer the parts removed are disposed off and not available for resale.
The price of the upgrade kit is taken into consideration in the disposal of obsolete parts.

PSU = power supply unit

You are right I have upgraded my Radikal with a Dynamik power supply. The original one is still in the box.

It does seem, to me, to be a sad waste of 12v motors - unless there are plans to recycle them into a 12v Lingo 5!!

Whilst I do agree with you, especially if it involves scrapping very new motors, it does strike me that, as the Radikal was introduced in 2009, many of the brushed motors out there may be coming to the end of their useful lives anyway. I don’t know what the expected runtime was, but Linn did say at the outset that the motors would wear. I understood this to be why they said there was no benefit in leaving them running, as had been common with the AC motor.

I suspect that Linn sells more Radikals than Lingo 4. Therefore they will no have a choice to keep the market small with second hand Radikals, to keep their marketing idea of three levels of an LP12. Otherwise now one would by a Lingo 4 any more.
