Have you considered a Pioneer SX-S30 stereo receiver?  It looks like it's available in silver from Richer Sounds.

The Onkyo TXL20D might be a rebadged version of the Pioneer.  It's also at Richer Sounds: https://www.richersounds.com/onkyo-txl20d-black.html

There's always this.

I have Fosi Audio's T20 tube amp in my second system in my study and it's sounds great in that context. If this does what you need, it'll save you £100+Screenshot_20211014-213751.thumb.png.05d938c44162f975366522b22fb547a1.png

A small DAC to work with the existing amp would be the cheapest option. They can be as cheap/simple as this:

I guess it can be powered via a TV USB socket but check to be sure, or factor in another power source.

Thanks for the offers,

I don’t need a player so will decline the sansui

does the Teac turn off completely from the front? As this is something I would need.

I looked at this but don’t have a spare power socket, does this definitely power up on usb?

As I said, I don't know. I'd start by checking the reviews/questions or asking the seller... Or Googling. I've seen people post on forums about using this sort of thing but I've never investigated the power question myself.

It draws a nominal standby current. So not a complete off switch.
