I still feel in “lockdown” mode even if we’re not, technically.

’troll

As long as I can't drive into Canada anytime I want to get a decent bowl of ramen, we are in lockdown. :D

Oh, but you should!  My Tesla 3 is phenomenal!😈

Hum… our pandemic upgrade of 2020 is an analog car 😈 😊
It replaced our boring family car… and it gives a lot of distortions!

But I've just four payments left on my 2017 made in Michigan Chevrolet Volt.

That you say I should and that it's phenomenal demonstrate that you understand why I shouldn't! I'd be in for about $50k! :D

I've driven a 1960s version. I do recall some non-linear distortion between the steering wheel and the steered wheels. :D

Here's mine - getting a salt bath courtesy of Brittany Ferries!

Last time I drove one of those was in a convoy of landies travelling at about 90mph on a track of crude oil poured directly on the desert, in Oman, near the Empty Quarter. I was very stressed as I was in the middle vehicle and couldn't see anything apart from the dust thrown up by the vehicle in front. When we arrived I refused to drive again.

Really, I love the Defender… It's the only 70s design car, that also drives you (anywhere) today.

Every Defender is unique about its caracter, depending of the colors, the accessories: it can be pretty or military… As a designer myself, I haven't seen an other car like that!

Yes - Hard act to follow. I've had one in the 'family' for many years. This one I picked up on the day the closed the factory. I will be looking after it well (apart from salt baths)!  It gets used for what it was intended to be used for - this ferry trip was the end of 6 weeks in Northern Spain. in it's short life it has played in the Alps twice, the  Pyrenees twice Northern Spain too. Each time it has dragged its 8m home behind it!!

My 'Lockdown automotive purchase was a very different one  - still all wheel drive but powered by a flat six!

My one before the current one experienced this - when it started to float (it was a scary moment)!

It's an other story of course! I'm not a fast car guy, but I really understand that 😉

No interest in Linn stuff currently.

Here is my upgrade in 2021 - a Burmester HiFi system on wheels 🙂

Very nice - as you can tell from my post above - I shopped there too  _ But mine is the lowly Bose equipped version!
