If you do a search you should find at least 2 similar posts. One is on the Linn section and has quite a different slant to the main WAM site, no surprise there.

Can't say any of those feature much on my playlists, but then I tend to play more new music than my old favourites.

My favourites change every time I post about such things. If I’m challenged to name my favourite album then invariably reply Anthems in Eden by Shirley & Dolly Collins with The Early Music Consort of London directed by David Munrow and I still cannot think of an album I like more. As others have said there are many top 10s around.

Interestingly @StingRay points out that Linn users lists are different from the general forum. However, despite being a Linn user, I do not tend to listen to audiophile favourites. I have no albums by Dire Straits for example and rather a lot by Peter Hammill and Van Der Graaf Generator. Not sure if that makes me a typical Linn user.

It is not surprising as the Linn forum members are more international than the WAM forum members. Bob Dylan seems more popular on Linn for example.

Yes Bobby’s all right. He’s a natural born poet. He’s right out of sight

You’re right, I’ve quite a few of Bob’s LPs. Haven’t bought any for a while.

Give me Amon Duul II, Serge Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy and give me Marquee Moon.
Michael Ball or the Fall, I can listen to them all in the twilight of the afternoon.

As others have said - there's just no way I could name a static 10... There are a few that are always there, or thereabouts, though. They are:

Dire Straits - Dire Straits
A Deeper Understanding - The War on Drugs
Ill Communication - Beastie Boys
MTV Unplugged - Placebo
The Blue Hour - Suede
Dummy - Portishead
