This re release 180g never fails to impress especially in the vocals with Sugden and Harbeth. Another great story book War of the Worlds

4 Non Blondes - Bigger, Better, Faster, More!

Amazing album. Too bad there was only the one, but then again, better a brilliant album, than a ton of dross. Linda Perry's solo output failed to impress me. Quite badly, at that.

3 Doors Down - The Better Life

Not bad at all. Something of a cross between Matchbox Twenty (back when they were making good music), Soundgarden and a bit of Hootie and The Blowfish (minus Darius Rucker's impressive vocals). It does rock along quite nicely. :rockin:

Currently listening to a FLAC rip of Disc 6 of the 14 Disc Sensational Alex Harvey Band box set, The Last Of The Teenage Idols. This is essentially the Framed album plus live work outs from the early 70's. I think Framed is possibly my favourite SAHB album, with Isobel Goudie my favourite track. Glorious stuff..

Some Sunday afternoon easy listening

Bert Karmpfert 1968

Along with James Last they were the go to records for serious HiFi enthusiasts because of Polydors excellence in recording and manufacturing..

I’ve a few of theirs and they are all quite good.

Interesting period in both peoples trajectory. When he and Marley parted, Marley poached the heart of the house band the Upsetters and went solo. Perry re-recorded a number of the Wailers tracks with other artists in an attempt to assert himself and failed miserably. Marley went on to great heights and Perry (along with a lot of other studio/producer setups) faded into relative obscurity.
