Have to disagree a bit there.  Despite them coming from the bay area of San Francisco, their musical style and playing definitely sounds like Southern/Swamp rock to me.  Their lyrics often refers to cat fish, bayous, the Mississippi river and other iconography of the Southern United States.  Also an album called Bayou Country.  Its also true that some of their music is played in the Country Rock style which is of course associated with the area of USA they come from.

For the sake of completeness I too like Tony Joe White .. 👍
