100w+ valve amps for Hi-Fi

Hi

I have noticed a lot of valve amp manufacturers seem to be offering amps of 100w, and 200w+ outputs, but have seen little in the way of kits or circuit diagrams for amps of this size. Am I just looking in the wrong places, or is there very little in the DIY world for amps like these???

I can't understand why anyone would need 100 'valve' watts never mind 200.

I have the earlier K4000 which I am in the middle of modifying. It's "only" 90-95 watts!

I can't understand 50W+ valve amps, and I have owned them.

The best valve amps I have ever heard have been low output, matched with high sensitivity speakers
