Asking for a friend in Bath putting together a new system. Valve amp, music jazz and rock mostly. Room size 7m by 4m but speakers will be across the 4m.
He's done some listening at dealers and liked the Harbeth C7ES-3XR which has a 8" mid-bass https://harbeth.co.uk/c7es-3-xd-loudspeaker-2/
So that would be a good example of what he's looking for. His teenage daughter is into songwriting and has more rock on her menu.
Anything suitable somewhere near Bath or could ship? I imagine budget would be not over £1,000 but it would depend what it was.
