So this needs a bit of thought, none of that "tomorrow it'll be five different songs" (yes I know it could be 50 but tough its 5)

5 tunes you can always listen to on a loop without being sick to death of hearing.

Chronological order please, artist , band and album if needed.

Here are mine:-

Desolation Row - Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

Itchycoo Park - The Small Faces

Almosy Cut My Hair - CSN&Y - Deja Vu

The Musical box - Genesis - Nursery Cryme

Paranoid Eyes - Pink Floyd - The Final Cut

Eno - Thursday Afternoon

Steve Roach - Immersion 4

Schulze - Babel

Coil - Queens of the Circulating Library

Miles - Flamenco Sketches

Stick em on random or play em all at the same time....hardly matters.

Any five songs on a permanent loop would get on your tits at some point. I'd probably just pick five guitar instrumentals to lessen the aural torture!

Saw the thread title and thought it must be a rant about Radio 1.

As for 5 songs on a continuous loop, fuck that!

You are right ,I'd have lost money on that I took it for granted it was on Sketches of Spain

I hate the very idea.

But for the sake of my posting count, here's mine;

Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick

E.L.P. - Karn Evil 9

Yes - The Revealing Science Of God (Dance Of The Dawn)

Frank Zappa - The Grand Wazoo

Miles Davis - Pharaoh's Dance

Let's hope that this doesn't become compulsary :nerves:

You can switch them off when you want, but they are the only tracks you can listen to :)

So Desert Island Discs then, but with 5 rather than 8. Can you turn the sound down, so if you fancy just one you can play through the loop on silent until the one you're in the mood for comes round ?

Right now, and off the top of my head, it's

Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No 9 (4th movement if you insist on just one track)

Nat King Cole - Let's Face the Music and Dance

The Allman Brothers - Statesboro Blues

Arvo Part - Triodion

Melody Gardot - Who Will Comfort Me ? (maybe this live version

)I know you want this to be the same tomorrow. But it won't be. That's what we call a 'fact'. One of the characteristics of a fact is that no amount of sleeping on it or denying it or wishing it wasn't so changes it. Sorry.
