HiFi Trade?
  1. Yes
:nup: Upgrading would be a nightmare, and second-hand values very poor.

ffs........... those old science fiction films all become reality in time. heaphones in general are just a convenience for on the move music or not disturbing others, nothing compares to a pressurized room from proper speakers or a live event. Any surgery has to be the last resort for me but there those that don't mind going under the knife just to look better, good luck to any idiot that goes for this.

It seems to me like his current set up will only be mono, right? I wonder if he remembered his 10kOhm inline resistors when he mixed the left and right channels to mono?

So you would loose the multi sensory impact a full scale performance / hifi gives - its not just your hearing receptors that experience a proper performance.

This seems very current need technology focused. When we eventually move on from what will then be seemingly silly little hand held devices with very poor sensory input/output. Perhaps it is necessary as a stepping stone / evolution to the next level. Inventive steps don't always take the logical steps and early adopters pay the price wallet wise and sometimes health wise for the the common good. Let them (whoever must have / push boundaries) get on with it.

I could see forced implants as a manipulation / torture method though. Good job George W has gone. But there are plenty more around like him.

Or, as a way for employers to communicate with employees?

Always "On the job".
