Wanted Accommodation in Keswick, August 30 to Sept 2

I've left it a bit late to book my yearly walking trip and the Lakes is looking a bit full up! Does anyone know of any places to stay available in the North Lakes, ideally Keswick? Looking for the first week of Sept, Tuesday Aug 30 to Sept 2. Cheers, Andrew

This hotel. From £217 per room per night. At Ullswater, not Keswick. I’ve stayed here and can thoroughly recommend it. Fantastic meals and setting.

Yes, thanks, it looks like a fantastic place. But I need somewhere in the North Lakes. Kendal is a long way from the Coledale Round!

I've booked at room at the YHA in Buttermere as a back-up plan. Hoping to find something in or near Keswick if poss.

And at a modest budget!

Several youth hostel and dorms in Keswick, have you looked on booking.com?

I'm afraid I already have friends staying in my Kendal apartment those dates anyway.

That's quite tempting, thanks. It would be out of my price range but with the offer it is just within reach. Grasmere is not my usual haunt, but not out of the question.

Lovely hotel in a great spot, good walks from the doorstep too. We normally go March and October when there’s often a deal to be had.

I was tempted by the offer but we are off to Skye for two weeks in September.

Actually it turned out to be a bit pricier than I though, even with the deal. But thanks for the tip still, because If it was for 2 people it would have been great value, and I will have it on my list for the future.

I've gone for a cheap option of a private room in YHA Borrowdale. For a celiac in the Lakes, private cooking facilities are a big bonus. And the nearby Scafell Hotel has gluten free ale on tap (this was a miraculous find on my trip a couple of years ago.)
