having just bought a pair of these lovely speakers , there is a pair here at a silly price of 675 !!!!:D:D

A bit late to this party... was searching for Amphion discussion... Those look delightful. Wish I'd been paying attention at the time! I'd be interested to know what you are driving them with. I see some 3S have just come up again, but wonder if they could be a bit too big. You tried both and went for the 1? Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes the 3s are not that big .worth buying that pair in classifieds. I bought the argon one to use in av set up mainly .and dealer had a spare pair of 3s so just had out of curiosity . I have too many speakers already but they are well worth having

Cheers. I'm pondering between the 3S and SCM11, but easier load and easier placement possibly tips towards the 3S, although they are a fair bit more than second hand SCM11s are going for lately. Like @DomT I need fairly close-to-wall placement and his travails with getting SCM11's sorted, along with the quite fancy amplification he's using, much as I've fancied ATC for almost as long as Amphion, makes me think these could be more straightforward.
