AN speaker kits?

Often wondered how these are and have wanted to build a pair for a fair while,

anyone on here built them and what did you think of them.

there was a chap who was selling the cabinets but I can't remember if it was on here or not

I've built a couple for friends in the past. They're very good.

Cheers, interested in a new project for hi efficiency speakers any other kits or designs to look at?

If you don't design your own, there's very few. Tannoy used to sell the DC driver for home cab making, and maybe Wilmslow Audio are the best known of the speaker kit sellers, but frankly, the AN-E is a very fine speaker indeed, and if it were my shout, I'd just do that. The cabs are fairly straightforward once you have the right ply, and there will be plenty of help here if you fancy improving the crossover components (or AN will relieve you of some cash to the same end I'm sure). I'd not splash out on silver wiring, but use good OFC instead.

cabs should be no issue as I have a contact here with cnc woodworking shop.

PICK thought the crossovers were specially matched to each driver, is there a good upgrade path for them? Would it make sense just buying the drivers and making better cros overs?

I have recently sold a pair of kit built (not by me) AN Es, I found them excellent.

I'm NO expert on the electronics in crossovers. And I just went to see the AN page, not been for a while. I guess there are always better caps, but they certainly look fine as is. Try pm'ing coco san, or puresound who will NOT be talking out of their asses as I probably am now
