Any experience of "slight seconds" Rega RP3 turntables on eBay?

Does anyone have any experience of buying the "slight seconds" Rega RP3 turntables currently being offered on eBay by Lintone and Harrow Audio?

Over £100 off for what are described as possible very slight cosmetic defects sounds a reasonable deal but I am a little cautious.

I am wondering just how bad these defects are likely to be.

Any feedback gratefully received.

The whole package for a bargain on the classifieds. Bit of a run from Cheshire, though.

Very slight cosmetic damage would have to be just that if they intend to sell them on eBay and not end up out of pocket for selling items "not as described".

I would say it's safe as houses. You save £100, which is roughly the depreciation of walking through the shop door with it under your arm, still wrapped.

Most items pick up a mark or 2 when in use, so eventually moving it on should be fine too.

A friend in work has just bought one of the B grade RP1s . should be delivered today. I'll let you know what its like.

There was someone selling one on eBay the other day that he bought as b grade and he stated in the listing that the only defect was on the plinth but covered by the platter.

For the savings , you can't seem to go wrong.

yea its a pucker offer and well worth the investment at the discount for a slight mark etc

I bought one from Moorgate acoustcs with a elys2 cartridge fitted for £399, I can't find a mark on it, they have them in grey without cartridge for £349...

My friend received his .

Just a couple very small marks that he really needed to look for . He's delighted with it .
