I bought one of these from Amazon:

Upholstery Staple Gun Heavy Duty, TOPEC 3-in-1 Stapler Gun with 600 Staples, Manual Brad Nailer Power Adjustment Stapler Gun for Wood, Crafts, Carpentry, Decoration DIY https://amzn.eu/d/gJ3q5x7

Does U shaped staples as well as brads and normal staples. The nose is broader than the Farnell one, but the price is right!

You could contact Skirting 4U https://www.skirting4u.co.uk/ who have some innovative ways of hiding cable.

If you are buying Ethernet cable then I’d thoroughly recommend https://www.cablemonkey.co.uk/2683-bulk-network-cable - they will make sure you have fully qualified cable. Cable Monkey is Connectix shop. Connectix is a manufacturer. They will also supply patch panels and everything else you need to configure and install your own local area network. They are subsidiaries of BT, And I bought my Cat 6a LAN from them.

Sorry for the shorter response yesterday as I was out.

However, done a search and this one might work.

Not too expensive either.

That's a good price! How are you going to make joins, if you're butt-jointing at corners it will get messy as you'll have to cut the trunking up.

Screwfix do micro-trunking although not as slim as above it's half moon shaped which is over paintable and supply joining pieces for a seamless fit. You don't say how slim?

They don’t do caps or corners for this size. But as it is quite small, mitre corners would be easy and neat with a junior hacksaw, for example.

But if you want cap and corner pieces, you would need the larger trunking. The smallest size for this would be the 16x16mm which is quite a bit bigger.
