A description, or even a name might help.

Oh, and you must name a price, otherwise it's a really nice ad :dunno:

Ah. But what valve amp? 211 PSE or PP or 2A3/300B something or other? The heating effects are rather different. Mine - the latter - have been running since 6.30 this morning and the listening room is (sad that I am I have just measured this, which I guess makes me the very unusual animal, a measurebator with SET amplification) but one degree above the rest of the ground floor.

Patio doors opened 15 mins ago and am now treating the neighbours to Weather Report's 8.30. Oh you lucky people.

My John Wood amps chuck out enough heat to roast the Sunday joint

Consequently my south facing man cave gets a little warm in this weather :Tumble:  .

It’s the best excuse for a few of these:ale:+ music, bliss:D

Not listening tonight for that very reason.

The 845 is a central heating system on its own. Add the tube pre and frankly it's too much. Given the time and energy, I'd shift the whole lot into the garden and bang Meddle out at serious volume. However, it's too hot to bother. Perfect time, forgive me, to bring the iPod into play.

Well my living room is still measurbating at 33.1 degrees with windows open at both ends of the room & indeed thrown wide open throughout the flat. I am running t' XTZ in AB mode tho' as the additional heat from running in class A which is my usual wont would soon feel pretty horrid....deffo has its good points in winter as it does chuck out a lot of heat, but runs pretty cool in AB even when pushed quite hard. :rockin:

23 degs in here, not that the valve amps are contributing, I've had a setback on that front

Plenty of windows open and 1/4 mile from the North Sea, it's never going to be tropical :nup:

25.6 in my office on the first floor. Still, it's going to be a lot warmer here yet if some terrorist sets off a suitcase nuke in Swindon just 12 miles to the west of us (this is a reference to another thread elsewhere on the 'wam.) Oi! You at the back. Do keep up!

Am never bothered by the heat output from my E.A.R. monoblocs in these temperatures; in fact I can (almost) rest my hand on the cage top. Why is it that some valve amp's chuck out so much heat and some don't? Is it just the valve type? Conversely, of course, they don't assist the central heating much in the winter; swings and roundabouts !
