SOLD Arcam FMJ A19 Amplifier

I’ve decided I want to try an Arcam FMJ A19. Pref boxed, remote and original power cable incl. If anyone has one they’ll part with then please let me know. Can collect from North West UK around Manchester. Otherwise delivery required.

I've had the A19 amp, it's a class a/b amp and is very good. However the Arcam A29 is class G and to my ears sounded a whole lot better than the A19, as good as it is.
See if you can find a dealer and listen to both of them. A lot of dealers have some decent offers on them both. As you keep on going up the range they do improve in sound but not as much as the difference between the A19 and A29.

I've posted this on here before but I had recurring problems with my A29. There's a common issue with the rails meaning the sound distorts. It went back to Arcam twice with the same issue. My A39 I then replaced it with did not have these issues.

The A39 would be considerably more expensive to pick up. But they are excellent amps.

I had the A29 for quite a while and it had a flawless performance. I suppose everyone's experience differs.

Thanks all. I’m committed to a purchase now so will suck it and see. I’m getting into separates after a long absence. And I didn’t have high end gear back when so it’s all a step up for me. No doubt the upgrade bug will get me…
