I'm not sure how "Arcam" these Arcams are any more... though I guess Class G (which I rate) is a good start. Not entirely convinced by the aesthetics, but at least they haven't gone all bling.

Looking good. Hopefully the “subtle lighting effects” are either very subtle indeed or can be turned off. Also, hope there’s enough space for some adequate heat-sinks for 100W in that slim line case.

ARCAM RADIA AMPLIFIERS
ARCAM equips the new Radia amplifiers with Bluetooth aptX Adaptive receivers, internal antennas, digital inputs, and ARCAM’s signature MM phono stage. The 2x50W A5 and 2x100W A15 Class AB amplifiers include new digital circuitry based on the ESS ES9018 DAC. The 2x100W A25 steps up to a Class G amplifier and the ESS ES9280AQ DAC, in addition to USB-C inputs, LED illuminated highlights, and a seamless OLED display on the front panel.

Yes i have high hopes for this latest range for performance and value 👍
The best amp i owned for value versus sound quality was the Cambridge a&r a60 . Creamy mids and great bass control, used to impress my mates as a teenager with this fronted by planar 3🤭

Can you define "creamy mids"...?
Smooth mids, music came through the mid range and subtly through into the highs, giving an expansive soundstage underpinned with a solid bass definition.
The A60 was good enough to allow the music through a very good front end .
I only went over to Naim because I purchased sone celestion SL6 s which were a low impedance speaker , which benefited from the more muscular Naim amps.

I use an SA20. Very decent amplifier. Build is solid. It feels like a little brick but sounds better than one. Now available for around £600, almost half price. Class G with some warm running A for a few watts.

A while ago I've added this to the thread 'Hifi bargains'.

Out of my amplifiers it was the best match for my Stirling LS3/6 BBC Ref's.

Quite a warm bass (compared to Hegel and Audiolab) so a bit of matching advised. Good for over damped and smaller speakers.

Ps. I actually think it looks much better than in photos other than the dot matrix display, but at least it's informative.

Yes I still hear the dna of the Cambridge A&r A60 from its debut way back in 1976.
The modern Arcam may not look as classy with the original wooden chassis of the A 60 but retains the characteristics in its sonic presentation.

From the looks of the contents of each box, they could have got all the tech in one box. It’s a little underwhelming when you see an internal photo of mostly nothing.

The streamer definitely won’t overheat… IMG_1197.jpeg
I had a chuckle at that and then thought I would have a look at a photo of the insides of my Arcam ST60. not much more than the new streamer lol.
