I enjoyed watching Farah win the other night & seeing Usain Bolt charging through the rain but tonight's effort by Christine Ohorogu was quite extraordinary. She must now rank as one of the best athletes Britain has ever produced and yet doesn't seem to get the credit she deserves.

Yes just turned over as it started.

Was a great race and a lesson in not giving up and dipping.

The other girl would have probably won had she not looked at the giant screen in her last few strides.

Yes, some amazing stuff since last Sat. Lovely to see hard-work for Mo-Bolt-and especially C. O. yesterday - I still don't see her having crossed line 1st, but hey ... I enjoyed against (TV commentator's advice...) standing for t'anthem (although one is not a royalist).

Great win,and finally broke Kathy Cooks record .It was some record to stand so long,makes your wonder what Kathy could have done with today's modern training methods.

Yep, we'll done Christine. I get the impression that she is a pretty complex character, from various interviews and things I've read. It's nice not to have the same old identikit media trained lines trotted out each time.

i wonder if she's ever contemplated doing 800m?

I don't think that the 3 missed drug tests back in 2005/6 (& ban) helped her cause although in her case I'd actually accept that a, she is or at least was somewhat disorganised and b, this level of testing was only just being introduced causing widespread confusion amongst athletes at the time.

Yes, I am always confused by the drug-things in sport/life.

I advise safely only minimal caffeine-alcohol (well, up to 21-28 units weekly anyway)/pipe-tobacco 50 grammes monthly smoked or chewed.

'Simba' did fine against my fears yesterday/joke to expect her to go for another World Record after her winning etc celebrations ...

It is such a pleasure to me as a confirmed Mut fan (not...) to see the Luzhniki Stadium again after 5 years ...
