He Audioshack, ik have a pair of excellent Audio inovations Second MK2 with Almost new Sovtek 2a3. Are you interested, so wat are you willing to pay. Greetings Stephan

Looks like I might have to build a pair myself - if I could only calculate what value the output transformer should be. Hopefully a pair of 2a3 jobbies will turn up soon and save me from myself.

Pity they have the 8 pin valves but shouldn't discourage OP who is happy to work on them.

They are the 6B4G but using 6c4c 5 pin valves

I have my heart set on a pair of the 2a3 versions – although I realise the valves are very similar to one another sonically. They are very hard to find in an unmodified state, I realise it could be a long wait.

i think this is why people convert to russian 5 pin as these are due to the expense of alternative valves these are really nice pair of amps in use at moment but if you are wanting alternative pair then i wish you good luck in your search thanks

Hi guys. I've been led to believe that the late Second Audios as advertised below had inferior output transformers identified by having only two impedance taps instead of the usual three. I have asked for additional information from the vendor, and await their reply. Does anyone know about the Second Audio timeline and component changes?
