SOLD Audio Note IO1 cartridge and Tim de Paravicini SUT

Audio Note IO1 cartridge and dedicated Tim de Paravicini SUT.

The cartridge was fully rebuilt by Audio Note in 2019. Since that time it was used on my SME V for less than 50hrs to check it over before being returned to its box and has sat there through the pandemic. A copy of the paperwork to confirm the rebuild from Audio Note will be included.

Also included is a custom copper wound dedicated SUT from Tim de Paravicini. Housed in ‘The Head’ TX4 case but specially wound for the IO with something like a 1:80 ratio I believe.

I am only interested in selling these as a pair.

Nick just out of interest what the output on the IO ?

0.04mV @ 5cm/sec or 0.057mV @ standard 3.54cm/sec , you actually would need a SUT with this cartridge as not many MC stages are capable to hold low SNR figures at required amplification factor

Which is why I am selling the cartridge with an appropriate SUT. There are only a limited number of options available.

This is quite special and could be an upgrading opportunity for someone. There are a number of IOs - just wondering which one this is..
The IO needs a dedicated step up so this COMBO merits serious attention.

Alas I'm not in a position to entertain this financially, but this is the next step, but one which I have to resist.

I recall i_should_coco telling me he built his system around the IO cartridge. That's not to be taken lightly. Of course Ive heard it at his place..
