I'm on the look-out for a CD transport, either new or pre-loved, and my budget is about a grand. Wondered if anyone out there has heard the new Audiolab transport in action?

My 6000CDT was more than capable of competing with transports up to 2k on my Copland DAC. The 9000 will need to be REALLY special to achieve a merited price justification.
Why not buy and try? 14 days to if you buy on line 👍🏻

Hi Pezski.
My Marantz cd85. Wipe floor with it, a snip at £350😊
Yes the vintage Marantz make nice transports. I am using the CD94 for transport duties into Meitner MA-1 dac. Very pleased with the results and might be down to Phillips CRM1 mechanism. Previoulsy I have had the Cyrus Signature and Audiolab 6000CDT in the system.

I bought mine last Friday at Doug Brady's after a straight A/B comparison with my CXC. As I tend to find, the benefit was greatest on well recorded tracks however it was there across all types of music.
Once I got it home I have played all manner of music and whilst my statement is a bit of cliche I am simply telling you my impressions and the most noticable thing is the natural nature of voices and instrument's. It sounds right and it seems very even handed and I am very happy with my decision to buy.

I should also add it's more than twice the weight of my CXC, not that makes it better but it's definitely feels well made
