Thought there was a thread on this a while back. I've tried one and seems to make things sound a bit fuzzy in my system. Softens the sound.

I have one and I'm very pleased with the way it removed some sizzle in the treble, it also reduced some transformer hum on my amp, but not all of it.

The phono stage all of a sudden kept triggering the dc offset and distortion protection circuitry in the ASR . So changed the rectifier valve and bought one of these . Mark at Ming Da is a bit busy this week for some reason  but will pop the Allnic over to him next to have look at but a dealer friend who I might add doesn't stock these said I should definitely try one

So I’m guessing the first one did what you hoped? Did it? (I have two in various systems 😄).
Well Nick my system certainly doesn't sound worse with them in . Its hard to describe what they do but my way of looking at it is that if my system was a camera I've just improved the focus .

I initially bought one of these and used it on my sub - it appeared to sharpen the definition of low bass notes - so I bought a second one as a Christmas present to myself (sad).
Having just moved both on to my active speakers, the initial results are positive. I’m actually surprised at the audible difference. As one poster has already commented, it’s like a camera in better focus. I can only assume that my mains has some kind of DC crap going on?? Many of our light switches have dimmers and I’ve read that these can have detrimental effects on audio (no idea if this is true).
I’m not a big fan of fancy cables or conditioners etc so this kit has come as a bit of a surprise.

I'm using an ifi dc blocker, don't think it had any effect on sound but it stopped my amp transformer buzzing.

Tried one of these earlier this year did not like in my system, made music sound a bit soft. Since changing system this may be the time to dig it out and try again.

I think that I can also detect a slight softening, but I’m not sure if this is a negative aspect. I’m going to give it some hours over the hols before coming to conclusions.
