I often feel mega speaker creations can be a bit vulgar...but I would seriously love to have a set of these! (and the massive warehouse flat to go with them)

Yes, interesting.
Apparently, the smaller speaker is just 13kg without its granite slab base.
Light stuff, carbon fibre. But not cheap. The Hungarian manufacturer also specialises in F1 racing cars using the same material.

Egyptian papyrus (ie. paper) mid/woofer cones. Sounds promising, I do like paper drivers.

I haven't been able to find much info about the omni tweeter.

90dB sensitivity, minimum 50wpc amp.

I'd certainly love to hear a pair.
I wonder if they'll be exhibiting in the UK.

I’m a big sucker for carbon fibre, spent a small fortune on it over the years, also love granite, invested a few quid on that as well, but they are extremely fugly, and I should literally be screaming take my money!
Look like some apprentice Plumber has been really bored on his break!

If you lived in a warehouse type accomodation or an old boiler house...and had the money, they would be just the ticket.

They are definitely very room/house selective, could you image them being installed in front room in a semi on the Wirral or a bungalow down Margate, would look pretty ridiculous.

What do we know eh. There is probably a guy in a small bungalow considering these as we speak, without a thought whether they will fit, or go with his crystal glass themed living room. :)
* We are all mad..but to what degree seems often the bone of contention in "hifi discussion".

Heard these at the Daventry show last year being fed by Chord electronics, they sounded absolutely stunning. For me that room was the best at the show, also pictures don't do them justice. The steam punk look isn't for everyone but if I had the room and the pennies, then yes please.

Funny, we obvs all listen/hear quite differently! I'd been looking forward to hearing these but the room at the show didn't work for me at all despite trying different positions in the room and going back a few times. I've yet to hear a room with a full set of Chord equipment so put it down to poor synergies rather than poor speakers, poor in the sense the system wasn't to my taste. Would really like to hear them in a sympathetic system.

I also heard them at Daventry . Very imposing speakers and definitely in your face ..They did sound rather good to my ears though .. Nice to hear a sound not coming from a conventional”box”
And I’m always open to engineers trying to push the envelope.

Well, a certain reviewer I know very well may be getting a pair for review at George47 towers. Or so I am told.

Pretty interesting and innovative, one small concern is interna damping, tubes have obvious resonances but a few 'Wammers have heard them with both favorable and not so favorable impressions at shows, a home demo would be the the way forward me thinks.

I knew they reminded me of something! Reckon I could knock up a pair myself with some leftover plumbing bits and pieces... 😁

I'd be a bit concerned about mounting what I presume is the tweeter directly to the baskets of the woofers. Normally one the main design considerations of a speaker is to decouple them as effectively as possible. This strikes me more as form over function.
