As title says.

Probably been done before but couldn't see it.

For me it was either joy division (never been a massive joy division fan but there was something hypnotic at watching ian curtis perform.)

If i remember right penertrationrezillos andundertones also played that night..Can't remember if that was same night or two seperate ones.(if anyone knows please could you let me know).

The other would be the tubes with wire as support 78 hammersmith odeon.

Top gig with theatre in alice cooper sort of way.

One i missed.....isle of wight festival...remember we drove past as we were on holiday over there...mind you i was only 7...:Upset:

please tell us your best gig.

thecrossovernetwork,
best gig i never went to was recorded for live release at the apollo in glasgow in october 1976. in fact the best live album ever released by any band. so good in fact that the US label (RIVA) demanded the multi-tracks to remix it to prove that it had been overdubbed, when in fact it hadn't. it was that good...

"is there anybody out there that wants to rock?

is there anybody out there that wants to roll?

is there anybody out there that wants to boogie ?

Will you welcome the number one rock and roll band in the land... "

To see you?re laughing

And you?re laughing at me

I can take it all from you"

Yeah the older stuff on Pye was much better. Lost their way after the Glasgow Live Set but I understand still worth catching now. Always thought the material sung by the then bass player was the best.

But my best live gig was probably the Who at Wembley and Hammersmith - late '75. At the peak of their powers or possibly Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Rainbow in early '77 after they had very nearly blown the Stones off stage at Knebworth in August '76.
