Hopefully better condition than the one yousawin the States and you probably got it for a better price as wellhopefully they will be! but its a slow process dealing with folks in Japan, especially at hifido, the whole system is a bit confusing! If I don't get the CDP-R1/DAS-R1 I'm looking at a CDP-X777ES
Weren't tempted by the Denon combo then ??don't really mind Jesse - The optical blocks are impossible to replace on most 90's Sony cdps - right up to X777ES, so its not much different. I've already got a step-down transformer for the Voltage difference - so that shouldn't be a problem.I doubt if things have advanced that much since the CDP/DAS combination![]()
No I meant the DP-S1 & DA-S1, but just noticed that it will work out at 550,000 yen, so a bit out of your budgetwhich Denon would that be Testy?there is a DCD-S10 on the japanese site which I considered, but its quite expensive.
I would have a CDX-10000!I do remember that review - but if I was going for a Yamaha CDP it would have to be the unservicable CD1
I'm suprised we are the only ones, whohanka for 80/90's Japanesebattleships.Biscuit wrote:I would have a CDX-10000!I do remember that review - but if I was going for a Yamaha CDP it would have to be the unservicable CD1
