Hello all, hope you are all recovering from the show, those that went?

As per the title, are there any Blumenhofer Speaker owners on here.
Toying with importing a pair, ready to press go but not heard any.
They are a similar build to my Impulse so just thought I'd take a punt on some shiny new speaks:)
Not really got money to burn but it is a hobby after all.

my you have had those impulse a few years if i recall . seen them about in advertisng but never heard any
I have had them as an ex-dem pair from Dave Speirs in around 1990. There is virtually no Impulse DNA left except for the mdf box. Even the externals are completely different. I will keep them if I get the others to play with.

I heard a pair of Fun 20? Years ago, very mesmerising. These were just the babies but I cannot recall what kit it was used with. Possibly Vincent as it was a German event.

Never listened to a pair but the ones with horn-loaded tweeters look cute. Wood looks amazing.
I would expect (horned) those to sound "fun" and with good "focus" but a not particularly expansive soundstage. I wouldn't bother with the narrow conventional 2-ways.
Measurements I have seen show a somewhat exaggerated treble, but that can be somewhat cured by using little or no toe-in.

the ones I am looking at are Tapered Quarter Wave Horn loading like my Impulse, but are conventional twin drivers otherwise. Yes I see the exaggerated treble, toe in or cap could sort that. Just fancy a change and wild veneers, and something new not 30 years old

Jack's TQWT's are a lovely speaker, I've heard them on a few occasions and are excellent communicators of the music, not just doing the "hi fi" stuff. Good choice!

I'd imagine they are like Ta'us in some ways. Had H2's years ago, bit big for my room with the physical size and drivers. But very easy to drive and easy on the ear, or that's my recollection of them. Had to get my neighbour to give me a lift in with them. Bet he was thinking these are going to be noisy.
