Given that the component 'sees' the cable from the equipment end and not from the power station miles of cables, has anyone compared the same cords but of different LENGTHS?

I opened a bottle of 30 year old Highland Park the other night, man it was good! So just to be sure of how much better than the 18 year old it was, we did a blind testing session. I chose the 18, my mate Chris picked the 30. The thing is though, he knows nothing about whisky. Figure that one out?
