Picking one after work. This specific model was designed by Creek, and it meant to be a bit special. Always fancied a Creek amp, so thought i'd give this a try.

Wonder what it'll be like compared to my 2010S...

:lmao: yeah I know its putrid compared to the 2010S :puke:

But the advantage I have is its set up in a dedicated room, so looks arent TOO important.

I just cant see it coming close sound-wise either, but you never know:)

SS, i'd rather keep the equally good Exposure kit than fork out £495 a piece for the Creeks. It would seem a wankerish thing to do.

Heard one with a CD4SE & MS-30i speakers - Sounded very nice apart from the splashy treble but i think that was more to do with the speakers......

How much did it set you back ?

James.

That's wisdom.

From the other side of the fence, I rate the 2010S duo highly and if I were forced to swap my Creeks for another marque, it'll definitely be for the Exposures. EVOs and 2010S both have musical enjoyment as their top priority.

So keep your 2010S then.

I'm sure you have acclimatised by now to their cereal box looks, hollow-feeling control knobs and garish blue LED lights - that you surely won't miss not having the silvery ergonomics, the low-slung sleekness and the discreet digital displays of the EVOs

Not shoeboxed like yours:D but you'll have to wait a while longer to see 'em in their envisioned glory - i.e. on an Italian glass and steel AV rack. Still awaiting shipment.:Upset:

I used to have a A3i. It is ugly, the speaker plugs dont accept bananas, it sounds a bit tonally dark too. Also, no remote. Apart from that it's ok.

On behalf of RWI I accept your damning praise of his A3i.:lmao: Or was that praiseworthy damnation?

Seems everyone's unzipping today.

Sorry, but I'm in RWI's tent on this one. His 2010S amp looks better that under-endowed tranny above.

Hard to argue since I love the look of the Expos and the Creeks - good simple, elegant design. But ze Gallic sharm of la femme Cairn: la plusbelle,c'est vrai?

Yup - wanted something warmer, I took the analytical "hifi" thing too far and ended-up only listening to 10% of my music collection. Just need to sort a new source, then service my kit to make sure it's in tip-top condition, and then it goes on the market.

It's hifi "whoring" too, as I've said elsewhere I just got tired of the same little faces staring back it me from the rack.

Yep, I am that superficial.

Cambs, , United King
is the Cairn pure A then?

Didn't realise the frenchies went in for that sort of thing, with their engineering record you would have thought it would be a reliability success of MF A1 proportions!
