CD Player to Krell s300i

Hi, my Krell s300i works fine when connected to a Dac (connected to a PC), but when I take the interconnects out of the dac and put them into a CD player there is no o/p - what am i doing wrong?

I tried them with a test CD players once, and today am trying it with a Shanling CDT 200. Same result. Disc is playing, nothing is on mute, yet no output

-Are you trying to use the dac section of the Cd player?

No. I was playing initially through a separate dac. With the CD player I am trying to use its direct out. It also has a coax, and a tube out. Tried the latter

Yeah it has a direct out and tube out - what that means i have no idea

Try connecting via all the outputs, you may just have a duff connector.
