Hello All

I am looking for an amplifier to drive Naim Credo speakers. This can be integrated or power amp. I know that reasonable choice would be Naim power amp but my budget is fairly limited at the moment and it has to be something in £200 region. Any advice much appreciated as I am not very familiar with Naim gear. I am running them with Sony TA-F920 QR integrated and it sound nice but lacking little bit of details and resolution.

Thank you

The Credo is an easy load and pretty sensitive, so lots of options.

For £200 you should find a nice Cyrus 3 or one of earlier Arcam FMJ models.

Both reasonably common which keeps the price down.

I've got a pair of Credo's on at the mo. Being driven very nicely with 24w of pp tubes.

But!

They can be a bit top happy. My experience of Cyrus is the same. So I would be having a listen to the marriage of Cyrus/Credo before I laid my money down. Just in case.

Thanks Robholt and bandit pilot. I thought that Naim speakers should sound better with solid state as I believe Naim is more transistor orientated :)

I would love to try some tubes to be honest. My room is fairly small and i placed them very close to wall but they sound nice there.

I have a chance for Aura P200 for reasonable price. Is this possibly a good match? Anyone heard this amp? What should i be expecting from this amp with Credos?
