SOLD Cheap CD player

[Turn it up!]

After reading a fellow Warnmers thread on going back to CDs it got me thinking about all my cds sad and lonely in the loft. I’m strictly steaming these days but suffer the curse of song hopping.

So…looking for a very CHEAP and cheerful CD player just to give all my old cds a spin. Can collect within an hour of Brighton or can pay delivery.

Anyone got a CD player looking for a new home? £75 or less

I have a Marantz DV4200 which is strictly a dvd player but it plays CD as well.
About £30 plus postage.
I also have a Marantz CD94 mk 1 and 2. Both work, neither are in concourse condition, £300 and £450 respectively. If remotely interested email me on here and I'll get photos. Busy until Monday though. Wife's birthday weekend!

You can pick up a Sony DVP SACD / CD/DVD player of eBay for £50 with a remote
These where quite high end and had a very good transport mechanism
I have one in the mancave that I brought for peanuts and it’s spot on ..

I have a marantz cd52 with remote £60 plus postage. New opening mechanism belt and cog wheel just fitted. Upgraded RCA Jack's on the back too.

Have a look for a late 1980s / early 1990s Philips based player with the TDA1541 DAC chip. Philips, Marantz, Sony, Arcam, Rotel and others are still around in plentiful numbers.

Nowhere near the ultimate refinement or resolution of a modern £1500 set up, for example, but they are musical in a way that lets you overlook their flaws. I can quite happily listen all day to the one I have here now (Philips CD371).

£30 to £50 should find you a clean one in full working order. Try to get one where the digital display is still reasonably complete. They can also be improved quite easily - separating the power supply, new caps etc - if the fancy takes you.

I have been ridiculously impressed with my Philips CD471. So impressed, in fact, that I bought a second as a back up.

I have a scruffy but fully working Marantz CD52 Special Edition with remote £60 plus postage. New opening mechanism belt and cog wheel just fitted. Just needs using.

Or a Marantz CD42 with remote and new cog and belt for £40 plus postage?

I can offer :
1.Cambridge Audio CD200 with Sanyo SF-91, £40 plus postage, I'm the second owner, no remote. It was used in my office because it comes with a headphones amp.
2. NAD 521i KSS-213C, owned from new and it was serviced this year, with a remote, £90 plus postage.
NAD 521i was upgraded to Arcam CD33 around 12-14 years ago so it's in really good condition.
Arcam is for sale as well but I think it might be over you budget..
