this is brilliant stuff peeps.

sad i know, but i'm quite excited about tracking something down (and then blaming the person who suggested them:p).

i think it's because the performance/cost ratio should be so bloody good, and there's something nice about rescuing old kit and enjoying it.

The R16's are very nice but I doubt you'll find a pair for sub £100. Still, you never know.

I'd go with JPW AP2's.

Going a bit further back in time the original Heybrook HB1's or 2's will be worth looking out for and usually sell reasonably cheaply these days.
