Hi Steve

Yes, you're right, I had a used one back in 2009. I think I paid about £1200.

Here's what I wrote about it a few years ago, slightly updated.

"I had the Chord CPM 2600 integrated amp and kept it for quite a few months - quite a long time for me and a sure sign that I enjoyed its sound.

Very bright to start with (it had been stored for months in a freezing loft, maybe some components needed to warm up and settle in?) it soon settled down to a presentation just slightly on the mellow and easy to live with side of the fence. Quite detailed and transparent.

The volume control played up a bit - at least the remote control aspect, as it often failed to turn properly - very frustrating and I was not pleased at the amount that Chord charged me to fix what they admitted was a design fault as this was quite a common cause of returns. 😠

But nonetheless a fine sounding bit of kit, imo."

Thanks Jerry, £1200 was a great price for the amp in 2009 I reckon. In 2002 it cost £3500 when new.
Over the past year, £1600 has been the sort of price that power amps have gone for(1050/1200).
