Hi All. My apologies as this isn't a gear post. Does anyone have any experience/history with couriers? Am hoping to buy a set of speakers from a chap in London and have them brought up to me here in Inverness. Any thoughts on who to trust with my new toys please? Cheers

I've used both parcelmonkey.co.uk and parcel2go.com, sometimes one is a little cheaper, sometimes the other. Parcelmonkey has a better choice for additional insurance. Normally the parcels end up going via Parcel Farce anyway, but cheaper. I've sent a lot of stuff overseas with them and they've easily been cheapest, and given good service, so can't complain.

having just had a piece of equipment fairly badly damaged by a courier I am not a fan but if I had to choose it would be UPS

I've used Interparcel on a few bits and pieces. I always pack well - double box and have had no damage.

One was even a massive 2 piece parcel of a Yamaha Clavinova, stand and stool - arrived in perfect condition.

I would always go to DSV first these days. Insurance is really cheap with them. (Something which Parcel2Go et al can sometimes get you with.)
