For sale, very rare, DAC IV Diamond from MSB Technology.

The current configuration (one cane add optional inputs) is made :

- a DAC IV Diamond, with 384kHz upsampler

- a Diamond Power Supply

- a PD4 Diamond volume control, which makes the DAC a preamplifier with quality volume control, (adjustable by steps of 0,5dB). You can spare a preamp stage in your system

- black heatsinks on the DAC and on the Power Supply, very classy (instead of the original blue ones),

- a silver link cable PS to DAC, better than the original, specific from the French distributor, paid 500€ value new

- a Femto 140 clock ,

- the optional USB2 Signature 24bits / 384k, DSD 128x, to read music via a PC or Mac through a USB link (not provided).

It has four digital inputs :

- AES/EBU, to connect for example an Aurender or equivalent or a CD transport

- RCA coaxial, used to connect an Accuphase T1000 Tuner from its coax output

- BNC coaxial, usued for the CD transport

- Toslink, if needed

It has an analog stereo input on XLR with bypass (usable for example for a phono preamplifier : the signal crosses only the passive preamplification stage).

Aux 1 is equiped with the USB2 Signature 24bits/384k, DSD 128x

Aux 2 is available to add a new input board

Outputs are available on XLR or RCA.

It provides an auxiliary pair of RCA that can be used to feed one or two subwofers when the main outputs are the RCAs (i.s.o the XLRs).

The Diamond DAC firmware has been regularily updated, latest version V4.9; as well as the firmware of the USB input for the compatibility with the latest OS from Apple, such upgrade has been directly provided by the support department of MSB in the US.

The DAC was bought in July 2011 and the options USB2 (on Aux1), silver link cable and Femto140 in Septembre 2013.

The listening is just outstanding, more so after the addition of the femto 140 clock and silver link cable.

I am the first owner. I have the remote control, the manual in English, the original invoice and the packing and boxes.

Payment by bank transfer only, prior to selling the DAC.

Shipment from France at the buyer cost and under his full responsibility (I would prefer to hand over the DAC in person after payment is made, safer for the 2 parties).

Possibility to listen to the DAC at my place in France. Only very serious buyers are welcome. Contact by PM and then phone+mail. Thanks for your kind understanding.

Price of the configuration new : 37640€, or £31600

For sale (with all options listed above) : 22585€ or £18959

Pic 1 is from the French distributor, Pics 2 and 4 are mine, Pics 3 and 5 are taken from the MSB web site.

I can remove the USB2 and/or the Diamond PD4 volume control options to reduce the price:

-985€ if I withdraw the USB2 option, so the new price becomes 21600€ or £18130Or-1585€ if I remove the volume control (Diamond PD4) so the new price becomes 21000€ or £17629Or-2585€ if I remove the PD4  and USB2 options, so the new price becomes 20000€, or £16789

Note that the rate £\€ is less favourable to me now, compared to the date of posting the initial add, but I kept the same rate as originally used.
Not so many DAC IV for sale at the moment
