live acoustic blues album

purchased this album about 10 years ago on the back of seeing derrin local playing small gigs which he did to finance travelling round Europe , he did this for many years and as such built up a decent fan base which has seen him able to bag a decent record deal

well worthy of a listen even if you don't like blues , derrins playing is nothing short of amazing mixed with great singer songwriting skills this particular album is about as good as a live album you are likely to hear , I've spoke to derrin a few times and he's a big hifi fan therefore takes pride and care in his production and this is well evident on all his material

all his albums are available on spotify for a listen

enjoy

I only jotted down one artist to investigate, at the show. This was the one. Will be playing his albums via Spotify (or hopefully, Qobuz) on my day off on Thursday. Certainly grabbed my attention and a mahoosive bonus if the recording quality is good too. Looking forward to hearing him, for sure.

Okay, so Derrin was the only artist I heard at Sunday's show that I'd noted to explore.

Listened to Live at The Boardwalk.....hmm, a bit samey and not much content

Derrin Nauendorf live.... still not overly impressed

There is a limit to what a man and a guitar can do, I thought....so..

On to his studio albums....now that's more like it.....surprised that some has a country feel and that some sounds it was recorded in a bathroom, but enjoyable all the same

Thought I'd give `Boardwalk' another chance.......sounds much better now. Another artist to add to my ever-growing list of spotify favourites:^

I was surprised to read that he was an Ozzie, now living over here. I think there must be some selective breeding going on, as they also sent us the treasure that is Tommy Emmanuel, who again, is very much worth seeing live.

Yeh tommy is a stunning guitarist regarded by many as one of the best

Awesome to watch very entertaining live

Yeh as mentioned Derrin has been around a while and made his name the old fashioned way of doing lots of gig work in small venues
