The Klimax, Selekt and Majik are just bundles that Linn create for simplicity. You can have the retailer build whatever you want.
I would say yours would be an Akurate level deck, that they replaced with Selekt.
It would sit somewhere above the new Majik level. Because you are Cikus bearing rather than Karousel, it would be interesting to see how close the new Majik deck gets to yours.
Selekt should beat it.
Hope this helps.

Not sure how you arrive at that…I would say yours would be an Akurate level deck, that they replaced with Selekt.
It has a Cirkus bearing, a new Majik with Karousel and a newer subchassis will trounce it. An Akurate deck would, additionally, have a Kore subchassis and a Lingo 4 which would trounce it even more. Admittedly, the OP’s deck has a Hercules PSU, but I don’t see that making up the margin in performance.
I assume you mean order of importance:What is the order of these (lowest to highest
Main bearing Original>Cirkus>Karousel
Power supply Original/Majik>Valhalla>Lingo 1/2/3/4>Radikal>Radikal2
Subchassis Original>Cirkus>Majik>Kore>Keel
Arm
Cartridge
(Note - order corrected in line with later comment)
Obviously, with an LP12 being a kit of parts, you can upgrade in any order you wish, but best performance will come with improving the bearing, then subchassis, then power supply, then arm , then cartridge. Source First.
So, Above the Majik deck, the Selekt has a better subchassis (Kore), better baseboard (Trampolin 2) better power supply (Lingo 4) better arm (Arko) better cartridge (Kendo). However, a Majik deck fitted with a Radikal 2 PSU and motor would better a Selekt deck. Above the Selekt, the Klimax has better subchassis (Keel) better PSU (Radikal 2) better arm (Ekos SE) and better cartridge (Exstatik)
A full Klimax deck costs nearly £20,000 more than a Majik.

BTW - your list mentions “ New German Belt” I assume this to mean non-Linn. This will have a bearing on performance, so get Steve to let you hear it with a new Linn belt. Also, get Steve to let you hear a Klimax deck so you know what yours is capable of if taken to Klimax level.

I hear you on the Linn belt, but do not want to hear a Klimax level (don't want to know what I am missing)
Just bundles, or packages, basically selling points. You can setup yours at any point in between ad per your priorities and/or preferences. There are plenty of third party options of excellent quality and performance, and sometimes at a fraction of the price, don't be discouraged by purists and brand fanatics, let your ears be the judge.

Or conversely, don’t be taken in by third party’s who think they know the product better than the manufacturer.

Steve Carroll will be going through it next week. If he finds any anomalies I will get them taken care of.
Fortunately Linn didn't have that same point of view 50 years ago when they copied and improved upon the suspended design of several other manufacturers, we wouldn't have an LP12 today if they did.Or conversely, don’t be taken in by third party’s who think they know the product better than the manufacturer.

don't know who copied who, but I had a Thorens TD 160 and there are a lot of similarities to the LP12
Could be wrong but I seem to recall the Majik deck is discounted whereas the Selekt and Klimax are not.
Do folks think that a new Akurate level component would be developed using an Akurate deck? For example, I would have thought the Lingo 4 was primarily developed using the then-Akurate deck with Kore, Akito, Krystal, etc. I remember on the Linn forum that a Linn engineer said the Majik 109 speaker was internally signed off in active mode using a Majik 6100 amplifier.

I like the idea of rating decks with mixes of parts, we could score each part and then get a total for comparison! ;-)Not sure how you arrive at that…

Mine is an 80's deck with Trampolin 2, Lingo 2, Kore, Cirkus, Akito 1, Adikt, Tranquility, new motor, silver t-cable. How many points do I get?
PS new dustcover hinges don't count as surely every owner has them (or no dustcover...)? ;-)
The LP12 packages are mostly best viewed as a marketing exercise to simplify the extensive number of possible permutations of an LP12 made of new Linn parts. This makes it less confusing for those new to the LP12 and gives some guidelines which are sometimes questionable. The Majik LP12 is a particularly good deal as Linn discount the package to the point where the arm is pretty much free - that is substantial. But the other packages, especially the Selekt, should be considered as suggestions only. Linn does not give a package discount for the Selekt nor Klimax LP12s as the total price is the sum of the prices of the parts included. Additionally, Linn does not ship a complete Selekt or Klimax LP12 but six separate cartons to the dealer (LP12 mechanics, motor/controller, sub chassis, arm, cartridge, Trampolin 2) who then builds your LP12. So there is no reason not to pick and choose the components for an LP12 you want to purchase, and often there are very good reasons to do so. (Obviously when you throw in older parts the number of possibilities multiply and they multiply much further when you add third party parts.)
The listing that Moomintroll gave of the parts and their relative importance is quite good. However, I would argue that the motor/power supply is more important musically than the sub chassis. So I would rank the hierarchy as:
Bearing assembly: (various pre-Cirkus, Cirkus, Karousel)
Motor/power supply: (Basik, Majik, Valhalla (Hercules II roughly equivalent), Lingo 1, 2&3, 4, Radikal 1, Radikal 2, Klimax Radikal 2)
Sub chassis: (various pre-Cirkus, Cirkus, Majik, Kore, Keel)
Arm: (not getting into the endless third party permutations, Basik LV-V, Basik LV-X, Basik Plus, Akito 1, ProJect 9cc, Jelco/Linn, Krane, Akito 2, Ittok LVII and Akito 3, Ittok LVIII, Arko?, Ekos 1, 2, Ekos SE, Ekos SE/1) (Note I have not done direct comparisons of Akito 1, ProJect and Jelco but have the feeling just based on general listening that this is the correct order.
Cartridges: (currently Adikt/3, Koil, Krystal, Kendo, Kandid, Ekstatik) (Note I haven't yet heard the Koil or Kendo so their positions are assumptions.)
Due to the operation of the hierarchy a Majik LP12 with a Radikal will outperform an Akurate or Selekt LP12 as the motor/controller is more important musically than the rest put together.
As to where your turntable fits, if you look at the listing you will see that it is basically pre-Karousel Majik level. You have Cirkus bearing and presumably subchassis which is pre Karousel Majik LP12 level. Hercules II is roughly Majik level. Although most of us feel that the Valhalla and presumably Hercules is a bit better than the Majik PSU, those three are far closer together than they are to a Lingo 4 (or even a Lingo 1). Akito 1 was an improved Basik Plus replacement but was not near Akito 2 level. I would certainly rank it below Krane and likely a bit under ProJect 9CC. Adikt is obviously Majik level. T.Kable is a nice upgrade but still wouldn't bring it beyond original Majik LP12 level (Cirkus subchassis/ProJect 9CC). Still a very nice LP12 with easy change to 45RPM (unlike the Majik PSU) and quite able to outperform any other new turntable you would pay $5000 for.

I would agree, my Radikal brought a far bigger improvement than did my Keel (which itself was significant).

I just stumbled upon this on Instagram posted by Linn Japan. It appears that they offer a Majik LP12 SE which includes the Trampolin, Lingo 4 and Koil cartridge:

Yup--Nope, I haven't gone for the Radikal yet; the ten grand price keeps getting in the way.The LP12 packages are mostly best viewed as a marketing exercise to simplify the extensive number of possible permutations of an LP12 made of new Linn parts. Since the Lingo4 has the speed control circuitry, isn't the only practical benefit from the Radikal the motor itself?
