I've got a fair bit of diy kit to sell. Some is complete, some partially built, lots of boards, lots of small parts and a brand new variac. I can't do anymore fine motor control stuff as I recently had emergency surgery on my C5 to C7 vertebrae which has left me with little feeling and lack of control of my hands. So I need to sell the diy amps and dac that the Naim Uniti Atom replaced and the project I was working on. I'm going to include all the spare parts and other bits I've accumulated. There's also an unused variac, in a perfect world I'd like it all to go at once and would offer a considerable discount to do help make that happen.
Mezmerize DCB1 pre-amp. A buffer with zero gain and relay switching, can have up to 6 inputs but built with 4. High quality motorised TKD volume pot and in a Galaxy case. Sounds great and comes with the convenience of remote volume control. £300 collected from Sheffield.
Pass Aleph X clone- Not built by myself and the case is home made but does the job well, rca and balanced inputs, matched well with the above pre-amp and my Bastanis Wildhorn speakers (ask the guys from my last bakeoff). 25W per channel, switching mode power supply, gets warm but then all of these class A power amps do. Once again a great sounding thing for the money. £350 collected from Sheffield.
DSG3 pre-amp board with psu board and I-select board. This was going to be an upgrade to the pre-amp above, the boards are built, I've got the toroidal transformers and bought a variac to test it. Then circumstances put a stop me being able to finish it. £1500 as is, needs volume pot, case and testing.
Variety of amp boards, case with non working chip amp board and large toroid in it, box of spares (resistors, capacitors, diodes, wire, heat pads, transistors and many other bits) and a brand new £50 variac.
I'm open to reasonable offers, I'm happy to demo the first three items and I could probably manage to swap the wires in the dac from pi4 to coax input. If someone wants it all I'd be happy to let it all go for £550
