...are really quite easy !

Apologies if this isn't radical news in the DIY section, but it surprised me These worked out around £17 a pair using gold plated Neutrik connectors and van damme starquad cable

Nice neat job - its quite addictive getting a set of your own soldered leads up and running. How do they sound?

Thanks & agreed, very satisfying once I'd got the hang of them, am trying to think of other cables to make now ...

As for sound not sure I dare comment ! My cable skeptic brain is telling me they sound fine and neutral, my daft ears do keep insisting the bass is lower and overall balance warmer than before. I also made some shielded mains cables, so they could have contributed, not scrub that - better not even go there
