My wife's been nagging me to do some dusting in the lounge. All the hifi/AV is in there and she won't touch it

I reckon the dust is helping those flat surfaces against sound reflections, she doesn't seem to understand. Who's with me on this?

Being slightly intolerant of house dust, I'm not left with any choice but to keep dust off my stereo.

I do, however, only use a dry duster or a damp cloth because any kind of polish is likely to smear the shiny black surfaces on my speakers and turntable. I also occasionally use the tips of the bristles of a small unused paintbrush to gently clean the drivers and surrounds of my speakers.

The best fix for dust, however, is to wipe all humanity off the planet as it's those pesky humans that create all that dust.
