Hey there,

Right now i am using the software that came with my sb audigy sound card, mostly EAX console and its parametric equalizer. It is a good beginners tool, 2 clicks and already you can edit frequency gain in real time.

Now i would like something more advance, for starters equalizer with more bands and some extra options. It is importaint to note that i do not want a program to edit songs .. i want something to sit in my toolbar and i can click it whenever i want and adjust parameters, something to replace my creative tools.

ps: i have my sb audigy 2 value card connected to an amp and 2 speakers.

One hopes that you achieve lovely sound. FME, I have different expectations from e.g. lappie/desktops/proper audio sys. All great accordingly.

What about using J River for replay, which has a parametric eq built in? I imagine foobar does as well.

The only problem is i want this eq work when i am on youtube aswell. Soo there would be 1 eq covering all sorts of media ... for instance youtube, videos, mp3s, etc.

I've yet to hear an eq feature on any music programme (used Media Monkey, J River, Foobar, itunes etc) that doesn't add a slight veil to the sound when used. I think you're better off trying to sort the problem out by moving your speakers or room treatment if you can.

I agree with last post, although others prefer superfluous technological e.g. software alternative.
