Will filtered IEC sockets fitted on audio equipment impact the improvement in sound obtained when using the likes of puritan, isoacoustics, PS Audio power conditioners? I ask as I have a Puritan PSM136 which greatly improves sound quality of my hifi. I fitted filtered IEC sockets on my tube power amp and Border patrol power supply previous to buying the Puritan.

I'd say they should be rather redundant if you use a decent power purifier or regenerator. But they certainly can't hurt so don't stress, just let them be.

Whether it improve the sound will be situation dependent.
But a filter as part of the chassis is a much better location than one at the distant end of an AC cord.

The commercial IEC sockets are intended to filter out the higher RF frequencies that can affect things like Pc's but are not so effective at filtering lower frequencies that can affect audio. For example leakage current regulations limit the value of Y type capacitors making it difficult to filter out some low frequency line to ground noise.

While the standard filters can still be useful they are not as good as the purposely designed ones intended for audio. The best solution would be to build audio specific ones into the equipment but failing that there is still benefit to be gained IMHO by using external devices.
