Qobuz is an incredible source of music, but its a pain to search for what you want to listen to. Lets say you have just shelled out £100,000 on your LInn Streamer system + Speakers, well you want to listen to 24/192 recordings only. Lets say you want to listen to a bit of Pink Floyd, this is the easiest method I have found :

Go to QOBUZ STORE - LOG IN to your A/C (top right) - put PINK FLOYD in the SEARCH BOX - Click their photo in the RESULTS LIST - In the UK it comes up with 93 results - click the SORT AND FILTER RELEASE box - Scroll to the bottom of the list in QUALITY you will find 24/192 Stereo, CLICK + APPLY and it comes up with 15 x 24/192 listings - you can then PRESS THE HEART symbol and it will go into your FAVOURITES section of your A/C. The same process can be used for ALBUM TITLE/LABEL/etc.

Many Thanks. Unfortunately 192 kHz is not alway the best recording. Sometimes (or often) the 44 kHz (non-remastered) Version is better.

I‘m still looking for a search functionality where I can find the original recording on the original label, which is not upsampled or remastered.

And it would be nice, if this function is also available in the Qobuz App.

BEN..............If you know the ORIGINAL LABEL you could filter that and see if the recording you seek is there.

Yes, thank, I know. But these multi step search function is only available in the web-based Qobuz store and not in the or in Linn App or Kazoo (as I know).

And when looking for RCA I can only for „RCA Legacy“ OR „RCA Records Label“.

Here an example, both 44 kHz. RCA Legacy for € 21,99 and RCA Records Label € 14,99. Which one is better? 😜

BEN.........Not an Elvis expert, but "Expanded Edition" normally means the original album with a few extra (often live) tracks added on the end.

I get Studio Master recordings (Flac) 24/192 downloads from Hyperion Records.
Classical is their forte.
I find Quboz classical to be quite limited in their artistic stable.

Really? I’m streaming rather than downloading but find Qobuz (note how to spell it) has virtually everything classical, apart from one or two labels like Hyperion who don’t allow streaming.

You won't find pianists like Stephen Osbourne or Angela Hewitt on Qobuz.
So I download selected albums from their catalog...

This is an interesting topic. I wasn't aware that Qobuz withholds some versions of the albums in Kazoo and in the Linn app and only displays them in the Qobuz app. Now to my question. For example, if I search for the song "Search for the New Land" at Kazoo, I will find the 192kHz version, but how do I find the whole album in the 192kHz version? Looking for every single track in the 192 kHz version and creating a playlist can't be the point?
