Here’s a really old photo I found recently from those halcyon days of yore. When life and Hifi was so much simpler. A time before Compact discs, when streaming was some nerdy fantasy.

My first “proper” Hifi system consisted of the following. Starting in a clockwise direction with an Akai 4000DS Reel to Reel, Sony TC160 cassette deck, Bang & Olufsen 3000-2 Receiver, Wharfdale Dovedale Loudspeakers, Garrard401/SME 3009/Shure V15 Mk3/SME plinth, and finally Wharfedale DD1 headphones. Happy times.

I still have them somewhere in the loft. Great sound, deep base, but as for wearing teacups, I couldn’t possibly comment.

This little lot are sounding fabulous, really exceptionally good. A bit of a 'surprising' system, but all the bits do play nicely together!

New speakers settling in nicely. Previously had Focal Scala 2 and Wilson Sasha's and the diamond tweeter in these is something special. Also love the finish in satin white/grey in my newly decorated lounge
