What are the audiophile benefits of castors?

Seriously though, the speakers look great, what are they?

Sorry about the pictures I know there is a way to take decent back lit pictures but I do not have the technical skill to work it out . Will perhaps see if I can do a night picture with flash and see if that works out . Also my kit is of to the left hand side so can be seen but not as clearly as the photo .

Having returned from a very enjoyable time at Definitive Audio, the view from the listening seat has now changed a little. The slightly worn and much-loved Living Voice IBX2 have departed, and been replaced by a 'not at all worn' pair of new IBX-RW4.

There will be quite a few rack changes upcoming, as the 'finish building stuff' drive is well underway. For the moment though, they're running in for a while and sounding very sweet indeed.

Are there any right angles in your room?

Yup! The room's big enough to set up the system like I have, with the speakers either side of the fireplace so diagonally. It's excellent for sound, as the reflection points don't match up and reinforce, and the 'no side walls next to speakers' stops the side reflections that mess up soundstaging. The later LVs are (very) wide dispersal, so the further away from side walls the better.

The right-angle corners are at the other end, behind the listening position.

Beautiful finish on the IBX-RW4! They look very much at home there. Will they making an appearance at the show this year? #justasking 😁

The new LV’s look fabulous Richard, as do your system and room. Visiting Definitive is always a great experience!

Living Voice speakers are difficult to leave behind, not that l doubt that was ever the intention.
You have the tweeters set on the outside...preferable with the newer models?

Well I've not posted on here for about five years, but do occasionally pop in to see if there is anything I 'must' respond to but so far it's just to compliment everyone on their superb looking listening spaces. Were as mine is a complete mess with the walls slowly creeping in - I really need to clear some of the studio gear, stop building guitar amps & cabinets, stop taking in orphan gear to try and repair and tidy up!!! Also my system hasn't changed in those 5 years except to sell off a couple of tonearms.

Nope. I'm just shifting around and that was a temporary 'try it' idea when I took the pics. They're back to tweeters inside now. With the old ones, there was a significant difference. With these, strangely far less so. I think they have much wider dispersion, so presumably the tweeter position has less of an influence.
