SOLD. JD801BRC in excellent condition, few hours (about 150 hours) and only a few months old. This unit carries an interesting story so please read the below.
This unit benefits from upgraded coupling caps (6 of them) to 2x Mundorf Silver in Oil and 4 x Mundorf Silver Gold. The boards and power supply caps have been dampened with neoprene matting.
Tubes have been upgraded as follows:
4 x matched quad NOS Svetlana WingC 6550's with only 30 hours on them.
1 x NOS Pearl Cryo Brimar CV4004 (very rare) with only 100 hours on it.
2 x Jan Philips 6SN7GTA NOS valves.
Interesting bit: this came over from Jolida Corp in the US as a 110V model in error (it should have been 230V) so on switch on to standby the standby caps and transformer did not respond very well. So 4 new power supply caps were needed to and therefore upgraded to Nicholson Fine Gold and Elna Cerafines. The main power supply transformer was swapped out with a better 'original older' model transformer from Jolida US that improved the sonics at the same time. So the amp is all good with a power supply rated to 250V and sounds superb.
Amp is awesome, only niggle is the Alps Blue volume pot is a tad 'static' around 9 o'clock to 10 o'clock when turning the dial. Once stopped turning it has no influence on the music - seems the amp arrived in this way.
Has the original double boxes, manual and remote.
