Now, before people read the thread title and prepare to get all British safety standards on me - I am trying to put the correct fuses in the kettle leads for my p10 phono and HR PSU.

No foo reasonings or special fuses, just the correct ones that's all.

The power consumption is 15w and 1w accordingly, now working this out with I = p/v this means I need a 1amp fuse for both? Is that right? Do they even make 1A plug fuses or will a 3A suffice?

I know the other stuff has the right ones in, I've checked the manuals :)

As for the lead itself, is this important to make sure it's the correct one too? I've just been using spare PC kettle leads, albeit with the correct fuse in. But I have read they are rated for certain amperages too..

Hope this makes sense and I'm not being dumb. Cheers

The plug top fuse is there primarily to protect the cable. The P10 also has a fuse which will be rated to protect the equipment.

Yeah, I figured that. So it doesn't matter too much if I'm using spare PC cables to make them up as long as they have the right fuse in?
