Don't know about glass Jerry, but the best I have heard by a long chalk is the Chord optical. Also one of the most expensive as far as optical goeth.

I've got an "Optichord" optical cable having read good things about it.
Is that the one you mean?

There are some more recent Chord C-line (?) optical cables but I haven't tried those.

The WireWorld SuperNova 7 cable uses Borosilicate Glass, used them previously before moving to a USB DDC with I2S out

I always use Lifatec Silflex - best optical I’ve heard so far, extremely thin and flexible too with slim plugs
