My Graham phantom tonearm has decided not to lower the arm onto the record, the cueing arm will go down with pressure but not on its own, anyone got any ideas about fixing it or replacement.
Thanks in advance.

If it is the silicon gel then be careful what you buy as I was once sold the wrong stuff by a UK dealer and had to buy from the USA.

Contact the manufacturer. AIUI, Mr Graham is now very elderly, and the prospects for future serviceability are doubtful. This is why I didn't switch to one from my SME V.

Just to be clear: is it the cueing arm itself that refuses to reach it's base position?
Or is that that the cueing arms drops okay, then the arm-wand slowly drops, yet doesn't reach the record surface...?
(I had a similar problem with my Graham Phantom II. But it was the headshell at the end of the arm-wand which has dislodged itself from it's unipivot base)

Hi I've just looked and it's the cueing mechanism, the arm is seated in the unipivot correctly.
